Well, according to the Dex entry for Banette, it sticks pins into itself to generate energy to lay down curses. It's also possessed by hatred for the child who disowned it and constantly seeks that child out...You can blame Gamefreak for that one
On Pokédex lore, if that's anything to go by, Banette is a child's neglected doll that has been possessed. Even possessed items by poltergeists don't suddenly become transparent. I see where you're coming from, but Banette is more of a physical thing rather than an ethereal ghost type, such as Gengar.
guuhh O_O I still love this even though it will probably give me nightmares its fantastic! The detail is phenomenal, the button eyes are genius! The whole look gives me a Scarecrow-batman-villain vibe, with the stitching and that look like that pin is destined for my soul O_O
yaaaayyy!!! so much love he's such a cutie! my all time favorite pokemon(if you can't tell by my profile pic)! biased aside, it is a fantastic work of art with wonderful attention to detail and i'm so lovin that tail
Honestly, Banette always seemed odd and out of place to me, much like many of the new(er) pokemon. . . but this version make so much more sense. It really brings back the creepiness factor of some of the original ghost types. . . very well done.
Unlike some who tried making it look more Flesh and Blood, this just brings out the cake! Just like your Houndoom this Is very well made. I love how its made from a number of stitched parts of dolls and toys, the button eyes and the zipper and pins. Makes it even more erie in a sense as if the Sprit of the dolls crudely built the Creature itself to haunt its deserter.
