Realistic Pokemon Sketches: Grass 2nd Evolutions by ReneCampbellArt Realistic Pokemon Sketches: Grass 2nd Evolutions by ReneCampbellArt
Sorry that I keep spamming you guys with shitty sketches; they will be rendered and I have original stuff on the way! Just winding me down through uni work.

Ivysaur: Dicynodont mixed with Bearded Dragon. Just a larger version of Bulbasaur really.

Bayleef: Sauropod but I made the limbs shorter. More so the Apatosaurus.

Grovyle: Much harder as I had to make him biped (but Treecko will remain the same, although I am re-addressing Charmander).Boyd's Forest Dragon and a Dromaeosaurus.

Grotle: Tortoise with Snapping Turtle qualities.

Servine: 3-Toed Skink with Japanese Ivy as the plant

Shitty? You call these shitty? I'd be more than a little happy if my own artistic skill (drawing wise) was this nice. Good use of color. I love pokemon. The older versions of them. Not the editable pokemon running around as an ice-cream cone.

I would actually say they're even shittier now; I drew them years ago and for an odd reason they've spiked in popularity again on DA these last few days. I will be going back and do full renders of the starters one day in the future, actually. But I guess what I consider as 'shitty' is subjective. They're not all that bad though so I shouldn't have called them that! Thanks for the compliment, keep on drawing!

Some of my favourites are in the later generations of Pokémon. While the styles for them have changed over time I think every generation has its cool designs and bad ones!

I believe the last Pokemon I played was Diamond. It was quite a long while ago. I'll need to hunt the game down and replay it.

While many of the pokemon are interesting, the fact one looks like an ice-cream cone is kind of...I dunno, cannibalistic? It's like they're asking the rest of the pokemon to eat this one. Rather funny. If the other pokemon don't eat them, then I think the humans themselves may be tempted.

It's fun to see how the pokemons would be in the real world.
ReneCampbellArt Featured By Owner Oct 27, 2012  Student General Artist
Well, real-world is always subjective. Everyone has different opinions as to what they would look like if they were real. But I agree, it's pretty fun!

If I understand well, we can create our own world with our imagination ? It's a nice idea ^^

That means an awful lot coming from you sir, since you seem to be one of the best alt-Pokémon artists going around right now. SO thanks!
