Realistic Pokemon Sketches: Grass Final Evolutions by ReneCampbellArt Realistic Pokemon Sketches: Grass Final Evolutions by ReneCampbellArt
Dem Pocketmanz. Just playing around, I promise!

Venusaur: A lovely robust mix of the Dicynodonts and the Pareiasaurs. The flower on it's back is none other than the Rafflesia.

Meganium: A Sauropod, with modifications. The flower was originally based on a Hibiscus or Geranium, but turned out just to be your average flower. You know, petals and shit.

Sceptile: My favourite of the grass lads, this guy was based on a Dilophosaurus fused with the Green Iguana. The tail was based on your average pine trees, and the nodules on its back are similar to rhizobia.

Torterra: The legs and shell shape of shape of a Galapagos Tortoise. The body shape is more Anklyosaur like. And the head of aSnapping Turtle. Also, Galapagos Tortoises tend to have their feet facing inwards a bit, so that's not me snapping its wrist.

Serperior: Emerald tree boa, shortened significantly. The flowers on it's tail represent Japanese Ivy/Fleur-de-lis.

This is just how I see these guys, and I understand if you view them differently :) They're really quite fun to draw, but I'm off to bed now! Hope you like them r/pokemon!

The Grass types here all look really powerful (especially the weakest of them all, Meganinum), even though in the games, only Torterra is worth a damn.

I really like how the one in the middle turned out--gah what's it's name? Starts with a T, right?
I only really loved the first generation of pokemon, and haven't kept up on it for years now.

Treecko is his beginning stage. Then Grovyle, and then Sceptile.

btw, as comment to this drawing, i am a grass-type focus trainer and these are lovely. Reminds me of the good 'ol days when i had Ruby...
