I think I'm getting a bit over DA. I submit, and make more art, for my tumblr now than what I do for here. I hardly check it, I don't even view anyone's art anymore, I just clear everything in my message box and leave it as that.
I really want to improve my art; I'm trying styles and subjects I wouldn't normally, and then I think when I've improved, I will open comissions and prints. But right now, DA isn't doing much for me, so don't expect too much art from me in the future.
I'm not leaving, just a loooong hiatus. Life is busy and I hardly have time to draw as it is. I want to start fresh, again, but not right now. Sorry for the soppyness ;__;

Official Launch of my Website!
Hi everyone, long time no speak, long time no draw.
Anyway, after long last, I'm excited to finally say that my Website, www.renecampbellart.com has officially launched! In addition, Commission inquiries are now open (three small-scale commissions available for commencement in March)!

An overdue update
I've been a bit quieter recently, and it's been nearly 2.5 years since my last journal entry, thought I'd give everyone an update on where I'm at!
Firstly, thanks to all the new few followers and of course to my older followers and their continuing support. I will state again that art is not my primary job (and not 'officially' a job at all, yet); I am a marine biology research assistant in Adelaide, South Australia, and am hoping to commence my PhD this year. I started to get a bit quiet on DA, and the art realm in general, after working very hard to smash through my final undergraduate year and Honours year (which I smashed, by the way). It

I'm not very fond of competitions because I feel very inadequate compared to most entries or that my chances of winning are too low.
