Description
This piece was an experiment. I've never really tried out this style with colour traditionally, and thought I'd give it a go. Still need to improve on some things, but I think it turned out okay. Let's hope it sells at the exhibition!
Also, scanners are assholes and will forever mess up colours and details. I did my best to make it look as close to the original as possible.
The reference photo was here, and my original digital concept is here. Needless to say, I got a few opinions and decided against a background in the end.
Also, Barn Owls are awesome! But I was sick of the generic-forward facing poses so I looked for something different.
I just realised the owl is looking at my signature. Oh well.
